At Forty Knots Leather, we take pride in producing the best quality leather goods for our made-to-order and custom work clients. We stand behind everything we make and we are committed to supporting their longevity.
We offer a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship that covers the lifetime of the product. If your bag, wallet, menu etc experiences a failure due to a craftsmanship issue, we gladly repair it at our discretion. Leather is a natural product and will age, patina and soften with use. This falls under typical wear and tear and is not covered by warranty. Simply, there’s no way to make something new again.
While this warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, or accidental damage, we do believe in taking the extra step to keep our products in use for as long as possible. For example, we would always repair the stitching on a 10-year old wallet, replace a rivet on a bag strap, or punch a new hole in a belt. Our customers choose our products because they have faith in our quality standards and we believe that it's our job to uphold that end of the bargain.
Hospitality Goods
For hospitality industry clients, we recognize that leather goods in high-traffic environments experience significantly more wear and the attrition rate. Leather is a natural material, and aging, patina, and changes in texture and feel are expected with use. While our products are built to withstand rigorous use and our leathers are developed for such an environment, the attrition rate in hospitality is inherently high. As such, our warranty for hospitality goods covers defects in materials and craftsmanship for one year from the date of purchase. Damage resulting from excessive wear, spills, or improper care is not covered, but we are happy to discuss repair or refurbishment options.
